The Austrian Society for Geriatrics and Gerontology represents and develops the Geriatrics and Gerontology in Austria. It represents the interests of multi-morbid and vulnerable older people and relatives.
Its members are perceived as experts on ageing and Geriatrics.
The Austrian Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology promotes:
– The extraction and transfer of scientific findings in Geriatrics and Gerontology
– The networking of research-based in this area and people practising, disciplines, professions, groups and institutions
– The geriatric-gerontological competence development in education and continuing education
