FIDEC LogoFighting Infectious Diseases in Emerging Countries (FIDEC) is a U.S.-based non-profit organization created in 2001, aimed at providing resources to health care programs to fight infectious diseases. Dr. Daniel Stamboulian is founder and president at FIDEC and Voluntary Associate Professor at the University of Miami.

FIDEC´s goal is to raise awareness about the importance of vaccine preventable diseases in the Hispanic Community of South Florida and Latin America, and its strategy is to educate key agents of change to create habits that will help reduce the impact of preventable diseases. Through its Adolescent and Adult Immunization Working Group, FIDEC works with the medical community focusing on the benefit of vaccines in the prevention of vaccine preventable diseases.
